Accept date move

Description

A tool that enables the Owner of a Production Items to Accept a Date Move Request submitted by the Performer of the Production Items or to change the Target Date of the Production Items to some other date selected by the Owner .

The Performer’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Performer’s viewpoint?

When the Owner of the Production Items Accept the Date Move Request, the Production Items remains in the Performer’s Overall Inbox folder,

and Overall Inbox >

Production Items Assigned to Me folder.

The Target Date of the Production Items is changed to the date approved or selected by the Owner .

When the Owner of the Production Items Accept the Date Move Request, Production Items is removed from the Owner ‘s Overall Inbox folder

and remains in the Owner ‘s TimeMaker Sent Items >
Pending >
Production Item Assigned by Me folder.

Reject Production Task

Description

A tool that enables the Owner of a Production Item to Reject a Completion Report from the Performer of a Production Item,
Upon receipt of a Completion Report from a Performer, the Owner has the option to Accept or Reject the Completion.

The Performer’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Performer’s viewpoint?

 

When the Owner of a Production Item rejects a Completion Report from the Performer of a Production Item, the Production Item appears in the Performer’s Overall Inbox folder and Overall Inbox > Production Items Assigned to Me folder.

The Complete communication is removed from the Performer’s Pending folder.

The Performer is expected to Complete the Production Item.

The Owner’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Owner`s viewpoint?

When the Owner of a Production Item rejects a Completion Report from the Performer of a Production Item, the Complete communication is removed from the Owner ‘s Overall Inbox folder.

The Production Item remains in the Owner ‘s TimeMaker Sent Items > Pending > Production Item Assigned by Me folder.

Reject date move

Description

A tool that enables the Owner of a Production Item to Reject a Date Move Request submitted by the Performer of the Production Item.

The Performer’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Performer’s viewpoint?

When the Owner of a Production Items rejects a Date Move submitted by the Performer of the Production Item, the Reject Date Move communication appears in the Performer’s Overall Inbox folder.

The Production Item remains in the Performer’s Overall Inbox > Production Items Assigned to Me folder.

The Date Move communication is removed from the Pending folder

The Tag Date of the Production Item is not changed. The Performer is expected to Complete the Production Item by the originally assigned Tag Date.

The Owner’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Owner`s viewpoint?

When the Owner of a Production Item rejects a Date Move submitted by the Performer of the Production Item, the Date Move request communication is removed from the Owner ‘s Overall Inbox folder.

The Production Item remains in the Owner ‘s TimeMaker Sent Items >
Pending folder and Production Items Assigned by Me folder.

Clarify Production Task

Description

A tool that enables the Performer to send a Clarification request.

When unable to Complete a Production Item due to a lack of Data or confusing content in the message, the Performer can send a Clarify (clarification request) to the Owner .

The Performer’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Performer’s viewpoint?

A Clarification Request is used when the Performer cannot work on or Complete an Item until the Performer receives the Data requested.
When the Performer sends a Clarify request, the Production Item is removed from the Performer’s Overall Inbox folder

and Overall Inbox > Production Items Assigned to Me folder

and moved by the TM to the Owner ‘s Pending folder

until a clarification response is received from the Owner .

At this stage, the assignment of the Production Item is not active and the Performer does not work on the Production Item for the reasons stated in the Clarify request.

The Owner now can answer the Clarification Request, or Complete, Reassign, Date Move, Delegate or Delete the Production Item or send Data relating to the Production Item.

Note Clarification differs from Query in that Query is used when the Production Item can be worked on while the Performer is awaiting the reply to the Query. In the case of Clarification, the Production Item cannot be worked on until the missing Data is received by the Performer.

The Owner’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Owner`s viewpoint?

When the Performer sends the Clarify request, the request appears as a Clarification in the Owner ‘s Overall Inbox folder.

The Production Item is removed from the Owner ‘s Pending > Production Items Assigned by Me folder

and moved to the Owner ‘s Pending folder.

The last sent related communication is removed from the Owner ‘s Pending folder.

To continue with the Production Item, the Owner can respond to the Clarification Request, or Complete, Reassign, Date Move, Query, Delegate or Delete the Production Item, or send Data relating to the Production Item.

Date Move Request

Description

A tool that enables the Performer to send a request to change the Tag Date of the Production Item.

When unable to Complete a Production Item by the Tag Date, the Performer can send a Date Move request to the Owner . The Owner can either accept or reject the Date Move Request.

When the Performer sends a Date Move request, the Production Item remains in the Performer’s Overall Inbox folder

and Overall Inbox > Production Items Assigned to Me folder.

The Date Move Request also appears in the Performer’s Pending folder

until a response is received from the Owner . At this stage, the Production Item is still assigned to the Performer and is an active Production Item that must be CompletedOwner approves the Date Move Request.

The Performer can continue to work on the Production Item Pending a response from the Owner .

The Owner now has the option to Accept or Reject the Date Move request. The Owner can also Reassign, Query, Delegate, send Data, Delete or Tag the Production Item.

The Owner’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Owner`s viewpoint?

When the Performer sends the Date Move Request, the request appears as a Date Move Request in the Owner ‘s Overall Inbox folder.

Note This is a unique situation where the same Production Item appears in the Overall Inbox

of both the Owner and Performer.
From the Owner ‘s viewpoint, the Production Item remains in the Owner ‘s Pending > Production Items Assigned by Me folder.

The last sent related communication remains in the Owner ‘s Pending folder.

As the Owner has not yet decided about the Date Move, from the Owner ‘s viewpoint, the Tag Date of the Production Item remains the original date assigned.

The Date Move request can be either accepted or rejected by the Owner . The Owner can also Reassign, Query, Delegate, send Data, Delete or Tag the Production Item.

Answer Action

Description

A tool that enables a response to a Query, Clarify, Answer or Data.

A Clarify request can be originated by the Performer of a Production Items.

A Query, Answer or Data can be originated by a Performer, Owner or other TimeMaker User with access rights to the Production Items.

The Performer’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Performer’s viewpoint?

When the Owner of a Production Items uses Answer to respond to a Query, Clarify, Answer or Data, the Answer appears in the Overall Inbox folder

of the TimeMaker User who originated the Query, Clarification, Answer or Data until it is either answered or closed.

The Production Items remains in the Performer’s Overall Inbox folder

and Overall Inbox > Production Items Assigned to Me folder.

The Owner ‘s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Owner `s viewpoint?

When the Owner of a Production Items uses Answer to respond to a Query, Clarify, Answer or Data, the Production Items is moved out of the Owner ‘s Overall Inbox folder

and TimeMaker Sent Items > Pending folder

and moved to the Owner ‘s TimeMaker Sent Items > Pending > Production Items Assigned by Me folder.

The Answer communication appears in the Owner ‘s TimeMaker Sent Items > Pending folder

and remains there until it is closed by the Performer.

Bypass as owner action

Bypass as Owner

A tool that enables a Senior of the Owner of a Production Item to “bypass” the Owner and act as the Owner of the Production Item in place of the Owner . The Senior is able to perform all actions of an Owner .

The purpose of the Bypass as Owner tool is to enable a Senior on the command channel to act as the Owner of the Production Item and handle the actions without the need to ask the junior Owner for approval.

The System Administrator, by default has Owner Rights over all Production Items.
When a Senior bypasses the Owner of a Production Item, there is no difference from the Performer’s viewpoint if an action is made by the Owner of the Production Item or a Senior acting as the Owner of the Production Item.
Senior as Owner

When a Senior bypasses the Owner of a Production Item, the actual Owner will receive a message that the Bypass has occurred.

Date Move Request action

The Performer’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Performer’s viewpoint?
When the Performer sends a Date Move request, the Production Item remains in the Performer’s Overall Inbox folder

and Overall Inbox > Production Items Assigned to Me folder.

The Date Move Request also appears in the Performer’s Pending folder

until a response is received from the Owner .At this stage, the Production Item is still assigned to the Performer and is an active Production Item that must be CompletedOwner approves the Date Move Request.
The Performer can continue to work on the Production Item Pending a response from the Owner .
The Owner now has the option to Accept or Reject the Date Move request. The Owner can also Reassign, Query, Delegate, send Data, Delete or Tag the Production Item.

As the Owner has not yet decided about the Date Move, from the Owner ‘s viewpoint, the Tag Date of the Production Item remains the original date assigned.

The Date Move request can be either accepted or rejected by the Owner . The Owner can also Reassign, Query, Delegate, send Data, Delete or Tag the Production Item.

Complete action

 The Performer’s Viewpoint – What happens to the Production Item from the Performer’s viewpoint?
When the Owner of a Production Item Completes the Production Item by entering text into the body of the Completion Report , a Completion Report message appears in the Performer’s Overall Inbox folder.

If no text has been entered into the body of the Completion Report , the Performer will not receive a Completion Report message.
The Production Item is removed from the Performer’s Overall Inbox folder

and Production Items Assigned to Me folder

and filed in the TimeMaker Sent Items > Completions > Other Completions.
